(Citrus aurantium amara)

Description: From the bitter orange tree which grows up to 33 ft. high, dark green oval leaves, smooth greyish trunk and branches, white flowers.

Source: Paraguay

Extraction Method: Steam distillation from leaves and twigs

Color: Pale yellow to amber liquid

Aroma: fresh floral citrus with a hint of wood and herbs

Actions/Therapeutic Properties: Antiseptic, sedative, antidepressant, antispasmodic, deodorant, nervine, digestive stimulant, and tonic

Uses: Acne, excessive perspiration, greasy hair and skin, dyspepsia, flatulence, insomnia, and stress related conditions

Blends with: Bergamot, clary sage, jasmine, benzoin, palmarosa, clove, balsams, lavender, geranium, rosemary, and orange
