Fennel has a very sweet anise-like, slightly earthy, peppery aroma.
Fennel was used in the Middle Ages as protection from witchcraft and malignant spirits. Use when you feel psychologically threatened, by diffusing it into the air or putting a little mixed in a vegetable oil on the solar-plexus Chakra.
Fennel is a mental stimulant.
Fennel helps clear up chest congestion, bronchitis, and asthma. Rheumatism and cellulite may also be reduced with fennel.
Fennel blends well with Geranium, Lavender, Rose, and Sandalwood.
